Personal Trainer Resources are actually everywhere on the Internet.

One of the most important steps in building recognition is very simple: create a simple logo and get some professional looking picture of yourself done.

Our logo is a bit more complicated than we recommend. It is because our two circles were put together to represent myself and my wife. She had been doing her thing with pilates, yoga and core training and I was much more immersed in weight-loss and bodybuilding cases.

If you have seen our website then you have realized we ave some great pictures. Our logo is below.

Once you have a logo and pictures (as well as the answer to all the question in steps 1 to 5b in Career Personal Training Steps- link are found at the bottom of this page) - You can begin creating your digital professional reputation.

Why create a digital reputation before a business card?- As I mentioned before in a previous article- all of your accomplishments can not be put onto a card - but can be put onto an "Internet Billboard" and most of these "Billborads" do not even cost anything.

The next step I would recommend is to sign up for a YouTube Account- this is a great Personal Trainer Resource. There are already many fitness sites out there using youtube- and there will always be room. It allows you advertise to a customer directly- like a commercial. What is even better is that the client has actually searched for your video- which is very targeted marketing.

I would then recommend signing up for a facebook or myspace account- because you can then network with other people and also post your videos on your wall- creating even more viral free marketing.

We do this all the time. We get client request because they actually get to see who we are. See how we explain exercises and techniques. They also feel informed and able to trust us.

Previously - for a trainer to be "seen" he had to get onto Television- now - visual publicity is open to everyone- targeted visual publicity at that.

By using YouTube to post exercises demonstrations of yourself you also get the added benefit of being able to "embed" your videos on your website- without having to host them.

You will also be able to add you website "ULR" or address once in is up and running- this will increase your website traffic and search engine ranking.

Facebook allows you to network with both clients and other fitness professionals in order to trade links and even offers your consultations online.

These 2 services are free and allow you to begin building your client contacts almost immediately.
