So- you know who your target client market is- you have all the certifications you need and even have the needed practical experience you needed to feel comfortable and sure of yourself in this industry...

So what is next????

Clients and gyms will not be knocking down your door.

You need to take action and establish yourself as a credible professional- not a fly by night amateur- who just feels like doing this as hobby.

Even if you want to get hired by a gym as a full time employee- you have no experience!!! How do you prove you know what you are doing and are one of the best out there?

Simple- Prove it.

Before you start printing out cards, sending out applications or trying to book clients- do you...

Know what your mission statement is- or purpose?_--- look at different mission statements of other trainers and fitness facilities to give you an idea.

What are the benefits of your type of training or what do you do?--- Are you a pilates instructor- but will travel to people's homes. Do you mix yoga, pilates and martial arts together. Do you offer classes or training outside?

Why are you different?-- Are you the creator of a new type of training method???? Do you offer 30 minute trainings? Will you take their body fat for free? Are you a personal trainer as well as a group fitness instructor?

Why should someone hire you and not the other trainer who has more experience...?... BE SPECIFIC

Who are you?... A MINI BIOGRAPHY HERE IS IDEAL- If you are applying to work for someone- think about the salary and scheduling requirements you have.



How do you work....? What is your availability- how will people contact you? Will you offer telephone coaching? Do you send out your evaluation forms through the internet- in person- by phone? What is your scheduling like... sessions last 30, 45, 60 , 75 minutes??? Are sessions private, semi-private, small group or large group. What is your cancellation policy? How much do you charge

These are all questions that you have to put on paper

.... and I would also recommend putting them on video as well.

You will need to sit down and answer all of these questions before proceeding to the next steps.

In essence it is a mini-business plan that will allow you to create the fitness career of your dreams...
